In the middle of year 2001 the idea arises between a group of students of the ETSII of Valladolid to create a group of investigation and development in the field of the microbotics (art of the mobile and independent small construction of robots). The encounter of these students impelled the idea to create an association in March of 2002.
The necessity to foment the participation of the students of this university in
championships related to the microbotics, something very common in most of Spanish technical schools, was one of the motivations that made the sprouting possible of then
AMUVA. From then, nothing has been able to stop the growth of this association, in which
more and younger college students become involved.
Microbotics
conferences have been organized, electronics seminars, construction of
microbots seminars, visits to companies... A first position at national level in the category of
sumo has been obtained. And this is only the begining of which
is becoming in the next years. On the other hand, the association organizes as
star activity the regional championship of microbotics: ROBOLID. It is a contest that it tries to develop three aspects:
